Guest Guest Posted July 4, 2005 I like this photo because I do not know if I am looking from above or from below, this kept me for some time by watching it long enough to also find that there is a kind of 'movement' as well' I like the way you present it . Link to comment
jnicholson 0 Posted July 4, 2005 Hi Robert, this really grabbed my attention. It's a beautiful image with nice depth. All the best. Link to comment
markboyer 0 Posted July 4, 2005 Really well done. I've been trying to do something like this for a while now and failing miserably. But this shot has magnetism; great comp and color and mix of light with slightly darker background for a terrific, almost 3D, sense of perspective. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted July 6, 2005 Thanks, everyone, for your comments. This one turned out better than I expected. I shoot a number of this type of photos every year, hoping to get it right sometime . . . still not there. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 8, 2005 Normally, I would want to have the dominant portion of the image less centered. This is an exception. The brightest, sharpest leaf is right at home exactly where it's at. I love the way you've managed to keep the separation between the top layer of leaves and those below. Merging is always a problem for me when I attempt this type of shot. Terrific sharpness and tonal range in the leaves. You should be happy with this! Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted July 8, 2005 Thanks, Laurie, I was pretty happy with this one. I shoot this type of shot a lot, and this is one of the better ones. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted July 8, 2005 Robert, I find my eye looking for repeating patterns everywhere here. An intriguing shot! Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted July 10, 2005 Yes, intriguing patterns and colors. First I thought about more DOF, but probably the contrast of sharp detail and blurred leaves is more interesting. Just perfect. Link to comment
