I think this one is rated far too low! It's well thought out and I even like the fish shape in the sand by the footprints.

Besides the visual quality I look at this and just keep asking questions in my head. Are the foot prints coming towards us or away from us...why are they in a single line? All means its a very engaging photo.

I agree. As Pnina pointed out the ratings these days do not reflect the quality of the work presented. We have all witnessed excellent shots being awarded 3/3's and 4/4's. It doesn't make sense. I would rather receive contructive comments than a series of numbers.

I swear I did not notice the 'fish' until I downloaded the shot at home. I was going to remove it then thought better. Seeing as this shot was taken very close to the beach the irony was not lost on me. Thank you for calling by.

This shot was taken at Big Marley Beach in the Royal National Park just south of Sydney. Those footprints are mine as I negotiated my way down the side of a very large sand dune. What the shot doesn't show is the big hole I made in the sand when I slipped on my tush! I thought it might ruin the atmosphere! Thank you for your comments.

This photo is as good as, or better than, MOST of the pics I see on PN. Therefore, I rate it 6/6. If it were as good as the BEST I have seen on PN, I would rate it 7/7. All of this is based on my opinion, I am not a pro reviewer, if a photo looks good to me, I rate it accordingly. I do try to give an honest rating, and I hope fellow members do the same for me. I would like to add that Gerry has rated and commented on MANY of my shots, I think his ratings have been fair, and his comments well thought-out, thanks Gerry. Best regards to everyone, -Jim
