kslonaker 0 Posted July 2, 2005 Very cool! So much of interest in this shot. I like the gate and the reflections in the water. Sepia treatment suits this composition. Link to comment
labuenaluz 0 Posted July 2, 2005 Agree with Kim, reflections are really nice, also sepia tone, reminds me kind of a Mad Max structure 8^), regards, Rafael Link to comment
mwyckoff 0 Posted July 3, 2005 I love your picture. The water and the lighting make it excellent. I would suggest you try cropping the sides to eliminate the dark background on the sides. It then makes it truly otherworldly. Link to comment

AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted July 8, 2005 I've been pondering this one for a while, now. It's very different and quite striking. I've never seen such strong light like what is illuminating the gate with such a dark background. The walk way may be crooked in reality, but I would be tempted to rotate the image clockwise a little so everything "appears" level. Where and What the heck is this place. I completely agree with the reference to "Mad Max" Link to comment
jay weston 0 Posted July 9, 2005 Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback. Aaron, if you want me to spoil the mystery, its merely a walkway on top of a drain thats suspended over a river. I have never seen a fence climbing deterrant like this before either :) I was actually taking shots of the surrounding landscape, trying not to get this monstrosity into the shot then I turned around and thought, hey! :) You may also know this shot was taken in Australia, adding to the whole mad max thing hehe.
