jvophotography 0 Posted July 1, 2005 I really like the washed out tones here. Lovely (and cute little girl as well.) Link to comment
ambadas 0 Posted July 1, 2005 Hi There, Extraordinary! + points: soft lighting, focus on eyes, expression on the child's face, blending of colours (dress and background), eye level photo. -points: 25-30% of frame empty. otherwise. Great! Link to comment

nmulder 0 Posted July 2, 2005 What an awesome picture!! I so speechless right now. How did you get the picture washed out like that?? Very nice picture and a very pretty girl in it! Link to comment
brookover 0 Posted July 2, 2005 Wow, very good! The washed out tones add a lot... and I like the composition with the empty space on the left. Somehow it gives a unique feeling to the image. I would love to know what steps you took in processing to get this image. Link to comment
cj_palmer 0 Posted July 2, 2005 the composition is perfect .. i like the white space behind the girl and the texture you've added Link to comment
madison01 0 Posted July 2, 2005 This is perfect. There aren't that many portraits that grab you. I think photographers lose imagination when faced with photographing a child. Maybe it's the fact that they are difficult subjects. The rewards are there. This is a wonderful example of manipulation (I assume). Could you please furnish with details if it isn't a secret recipe? 7/7 Link to comment
madison01 0 Posted July 2, 2005 Regarding the comments about empty frames. The Police Drummer, Stewart Copeland used to say of his music that it's not about the beats that you hit, it's about the ones you don't. The empty space represents the beats that you have decided not to hit. Excellent! Link to comment
