Inside an old watch tower in my hometown. The texture on these walls

I encountered an odd optical illusion while looking at this pic when viewed at full size. The stairs seem to be upside down when I look at it sometimes, then when I scroll down and then back up to see the picture again my mind rights the image. Not sure if I'm the only one who will experience this but it definitely had me staring. Great composition!

Interesting tones.

I tried that but it took the feeling that the photo actually is taken in a tower and also i thought i lost details in the texture (overall). Thank you for your comment and thought! =)

I just took out my comment about cropping. I could not see the whole image on my monitor, but the thumbnail convinced me that you did the right thing.

Im glad i did something right for once! hehe.. =) The little image even have more impact then the larger one.. i think its because the larger ones are hard to see due to small screens (or that you have to scroll up and down to see it).

The subject of itself is a simple one; despite of it or by virtue of it, it is very pleasant to have a look at this photo. The colour version has the same impact on me.
