Rory Gallagher died 10 years ago this June. "His 1961 Stratocaster is the stuff of legend", as quoted in this month's issue of Guitar and Bass magazine. His surviving brother, Donal, was quoted as saying, "Rory's sweat was so acidic that the effect on the guitar's finish was like paint stripper; every millimeter of this emotionally-loaded instrument bears the marks of thousands upon thousands of hours of full-throttle playing". Rory was a musicians musician. Unfortunately Rory's legend was cruelly ignored. Here is Rory in the late 70s, Dallas Texas USA.

Thanks for tipping me off about this one. For me, this is your best Rory shot yet. Talk about capturing the "decisive moment". It's a perfect definition of the intensity of the man's playing. Very inspiring...I'm off to listen to "Irish Tour '74" yet again!
