Ethan with his baby brother Eli. Looking as though his territory has just been invaded :)

I love this photograph of yours! The expression on his face is perfect all itself. Great capture; I really like it =)

Lighting, color, exposure are all fine. I have to say though that the missing head gives me a little hibby jibby. Maybe I'm too used to see your son's face, but now I don't. Just a little uncomfortable to not see his face, but then again, that's probably the reason why this is a unique image. ^_^

Thanks All, had a wonderful time playing this morning. Have lots of new images of the Hall's :)

Wilson- I cropped my son for a reason. The reason being that this image is about Ethan. Ethan being the only child for 3 years, he is now feeling just a little jealous of Eli. I just thought the look on his face was so........ cute, totally ignoring Eli. :0 What a character!

Jayme, this is a unique and interesting composition. Of course the lighting is about perfect. My only thought is that it might have been better if the chin creeping into the frame had been raised and out of the frame.

What I love about this photo is that the baby, the expected star of the show, seems almost incidental. The little boy is stealing the limelight!

Jayme, why did you cut off the man's head? Its a bit a pity cause we miss the expression on his face, don't you think? of course, the face of a boy is draws all our eyes, but... I am not convinced with the cropping, sorry :))

ViP- The original does have our son's face in the crop. It's also a nice image. I just saw the look on Ethan's face and decided to make a selective crop that makes him the subject. A little odd, but I found it amusing. Simply because, I know that he is less than thrilled to NOT be the center of all attentions. Here the attention is all his. :)

Laurie- I hear you. I wish that the chin was also missing, but, I thought including all of Ethan's hair was important to the image. Our son's chin however, does complete a triangular flow, (Ethan's face, up to chin, baby's profile, across the arms and back to Ethan). For this reason, I kept the chin & hair. Plus, just that little piece of his chin helps the viewer know it's a man, and assume, the father.

The crop of this image was just my personal expression of what I saw. Basically, Ethan, looking to his grandmother for attention, and by golly he got it! :)

Jayme, this is a great photo. The missing dad's head is okay. Lighting is powerful. Here's the thing. The thick black frame overpowers the image. Way too much frame. Just being honest.

Thanks Howard- I appreciate your honesty about the frame. I also would most likely not frame it like this to hang on my wall, but there's just something about black on the net. I think I like it better with the bland gray background PN offers. I'd like to see the background black. Black backgrounds on the web show off the images so much better, then I would feel better about white matting of images on PN. I move for a change. Yea right, I can just see the discussion now! :)
