atkphotoworks 0 Posted June 27, 2005 Robert I might have considered placing the dock a little further to the left in the frame. Otherwise, a nice tranquil image. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted June 27, 2005 Bob, This may sound strange but what makes this shot for me is the twist of the floating dock. You must have paid your kids to stand to your left while you were shooting this. I also like that the dock coaxes the viewers eye to the bottom of the "V" shape of the mountains. You were treated to some great clouds to add interesting tonal range in the sky and water reflections. I kind of wish the boat in the mid ground wasn't there but that was beyond your control. Nice shot! Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted June 27, 2005 The dock leads you out to the water and then to the mountains. Beautiful serene scenery and great reflections from those great clouds. Link to comment
sef1664877429 0 Posted June 27, 2005 I'm with Laurie on this one, wonderful location, nice lead-in, but the more modern boat( and maybe it being whiter and more modern looking is part of it) is actually hurting the serenity. Actually, I'm finding one of the most interestings parts of this photo to be the ripple coming in from the right. I want this to be a serene location, but the ripples are reminding me there's an outside world, as well, and is drawing me back from the semi-dreamy state I'm trying to induce looking at those mountains. robertbrown 1 Posted July 1, 2005 Thanks, everyone, for your comments. I also don't care for that last boat. Link to comment
