Glenn, It is obvious you have been working very hard carrying much of the weight in the underwater category. Great image of a very large slug with a nice diagonal however given the amount of control you have over the situation I would have loved to see the creature more evenly lighted. Its gills appear sharp to me but are in the shadoww of the strobe. I am not sure if strobe placement would have been better centered and directly over the subject. I am told Roger Steen does that and always uses a single strobe. He obviously produces outstanding images. I miss my home in Hawaii and the great photographers at the Honolulu UPS. All the best and aloha! 6/6 Andy

I too miss Hawaii and the people associated with the UPS. The strobe was positioned off to the left and above the subject at a 45 degree angle. What seems to be light blockage from the strobe is actually light fall-off as I aimed the strobe just in front of the nudibranch. I agree that if I lighted the subject more evenly, it would produce a better image.

Thanks,

Glenn

Glenn I went back and brightened my screen a bit and the upper left corner popped out a little bit more without blowing out the lower right. I have tried but can't change the rating that I initially gave it. Nice image! Andy
