Daniel, what's there to fake? This was shot as is and definitely not a composite, your comment is useless without elaborating!

I like the contrast between the foreground subjects and the background industry and add to that the sunset. My one suggestion would be to crop a bit at the bottom and remove that opening at centre left.

Just out of curiosity, Daniel, how do you know it's a fake and how can you prove it? If Alec says it's a real thing then I am sure it is, but even if it was a composite...what's the problem?

Nice image Alec.

Thanks Amar, you are right about the small opening whcih can be distracting. Perhaps cloning it out will be better then cutting off part of the bridge.

Regarding Daniel. I must have more then 2 dozen shots of different angle from the same point so I don't see the rationale to fake anything unless something dramatic like pasting a flock of birds in the sky? LOL!

The peace within the sleeping ship yard and the warth of the sunset lift the foreground into the harmony that lies afore.

Oh how I would love to be there!

I like the contrast (in the non-photographic sense) between the people relaxing on one side of the water, and the heavy industry on the other side.

I agree about the center left "hole". A quick cloning would be a good idea.

The clouds bother me a bit - they look a bit muddy. Actually, they look the same color as the "gamut warning" in Photoshop - so perhaps they look muddy to me as I've been processing stuff for stock all day, and have been constantly looking at the warning on my images.

That being said, it's been about 7 years since I was last in Singapore (unless you count changing planes in the airport), so the clouds may well look like that, I can't remember - we sure get our share of odd looking clouds here in Taiwan.

I don't believe anything here is fake. I've followed your work closely over time, and know that you always say so if something extra has been introduced. You didn't say so here, so I believe it's real.

Thanks Craig. If you look at my other shots of the same place you will notice that the day this was shot the sky was unusually red and contrasty.

Interesting shot, Alec. The foreground is almost neutral, so the color in the sky provides a nice contrast. I'm wondering if that's where the comment about this being "fake" came from. I don't believe it's fake at all, but I do like that effect. I agree about cloning the hole.

Great shot, Alec; I enjoy the work/play aspect of the photo. I don't think I would clone the hole so much as tone it down. In either case, very good work. Regards.

Kim, I'm not bothered about Daniel at all. If he is really sincere he will reply and he didn't even insert any images in his site? Afraid of repercussions? Not from me, this is a hate free zone.

Richard, thanks for coming by, appreciate your kind thoughts.

Sorry can not stop laughing when a person say you are faking this image. Great composition .Your so lucky to have a beautiful sky that day .Did you use layering on this. You got a perfect image with PPW Terminal as a background.

Working hard - Playing Hard - Very Hard to fake lah !

Yeah, like Richard said there are some people out there who just shout out without thinking. Anyway understand from Cherlyn that both of you were at Kallang that day.

It would have been great if we could have met up when you originally planed to go to Labrador as well. We should meet one Sunday and catch up Thanks for coming by. ^_^
