Empty spools

you've lost too much detail in the bright areas. can you get anything back by darkening the image?

Good idea but the spools are overexposed in most places.

one of the drawbacks of digital. underexposure is far better tolerated than overexposure. film is very forgiving. what camera do you use?

I used a practika MTL 3 with zeiss jena 50/1.8 automatic and color print film which was scanned by a fuji frontier machine and decolorised and contrast adjusted by me.The overexposure effect was achieved by the adjustments on purpose.

has another picture of the same spools but with no contast adjustment,so the original exposure is preserved.
