The lush green which envelopes the photo is lovely. However, the amount of greenery in the foreground is overpowering-- especially since the focus should be on the bird, according to your title, and which part of the photo is crisp. It's a tough shot, especially since moving the grass out of the way would most likely cause the heron to be scared away!

the grass in the foreground is very distracting to me. maybe that was the closest you could get though.

These birds are almost impossible to find outside of cover like this, but as it stands, he is kinda tough to see...
