This is a photograph fromt eh Gibraltar Fair that I took with my

HOLGA CFN. Image was shot on outdated Kodak Porta 400 UC film and a

cross-processed effect was achieved through the use of Photoshop.

The photo depicts a morbidly obese woman headed over to a cheese-

fries/sauasage/hotdog stand.

COMMENTS ARE APPRECIATED.

THANK YOU.

Kim, this should be classified as a "Documentary":-)! (The "Weigh" of the American Culture ??) The darkness around the edges is a nice effect and the colors are almost like an old 6 color poster of an advertisement for a circus.

I like the Holga effect.

You've certainly captured an obese person walking in the direction of food. I'm just not sure what the statement is here. That a lot of people are obese? That obese people eat?

If you were able to give us some photographic insight into this woman's life and her struggle with her crippling weight, then I would consider this an excellent photograph. Did you, by any chance, talk to her?

I think this image has to much color! ;) Just kidding.. got a comment from you on a Bw shot of mine where you thought it was to much grey.. didnt understand you comment there so i had to pull a joke on you!

I like the composition here.. and that our focus goes for the people in the middle and the "Hot Dogs" place behind them. Love the holga effect! Great street shot.

Okay being a big girl myself (not like this big but anyway) I take no offense to this photo at all because my weight stems from medical reasons not because I have a poor eating habits. Now what I love about this photo is that the subject even though the camera was not focused in on her alone (I mean c'mon the freakin ferris wheel is bigger than her!!) but she is who I notice. The subject couldn't have worn a better shirt it makes the whole photo. I f this woman had been thinner or non existent the photo would not be, but I guess that's a big duh huh?

Fat people and people who love fat people - unite and chill out. This is a great photo that will make you stop eating. Nostalgic and yet strong in current message. Kim, congrats.

By the way, it is the woman who should be pulling the wagon - for obvious reasons.
