I think I like this one so much because I have been there! Looks like Coyote Hills Reserve in Fremont. Correct? Great job on the colors and composition!

..and especially dynamic because of the wind-motion captured in the ..what's the English name for those long green plants? Anyhow, an appealing mood. Perhaps curves could have benn further adjusted, to create a more menacing feeling.

I believe the common name for these reeds is "Cat Tails" because of the tall seed stalks they produce. I didn't want to make the picture too menacing because I think some of the appeal is the pleasant, inviting light in the foreground balanced by the foreboding sky. And in reality the storm had passed through, leaving the soft afternoon light reflected by the cloudy sky.

A scene like this feels serene and uplifting. The path turning left at the end is intriguing and the few pieces of grass on the board gives it a more "real" feel. The dramatic clouds above and the wind blowing add to the appeal of the scene.

I love this photo. It has wonderful content but also contains a sense of mystery...where does the path lead?! It could be interpreted in a number of ways and provokes thought. Beautiful!
