This folder is great, can you advise me on lighting? What is the set up for a shot like this? I have some basic equipment, but still get bad shadows... what am I doing wrong? All advice welcome.

Regina: The lighting equipment used is actually far cry from basic, two elinchrome compacts were used for this picture. An silver bounce umbrella was placed to the right of the model, and a shot

through umbrella was behind the model, bit to the left. There is also a reflector to the left of the model to smooth out the deep shadows.

 

However, I think you can arrive in such a photo e.g. with bouncing a flash or two from a white surface, and then using a reflector. Good luck!
