jayme 0 Posted June 12, 2005 Neat tail light on a car in the parking lot. 1963 Chevy Impala.:) I've been corrected, it's a 1959. Thanks guys! Link to comment
bentes_world 0 Posted June 12, 2005 Very elegant extract of a vehicle. The lines and the placment of the rear light in the frame together with the clean white makes this photo really good. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted June 12, 2005 Cool shot! Are you going to have a garage door to your studio so you can do vehicle portraits, too?? Link to comment
paul pinkley 0 Posted June 12, 2005 Your dream of becoming a proffesional appears to be on track from your compositions and good eye for placement. Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted June 13, 2005 Nice, Jayme. Interesting composition and slice of reality you have captured here. Link to comment
James Kazan 17 Posted June 13, 2005 That is a 1959 Chevy. I had a 1960 but it got stolen and they burned it for the heck of it and it was cherry too. Nice capture Jim Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted June 13, 2005 Yeh, it's a '59 alright, mine was black with a red and white interior, I called mine a "cream puff"....Jim Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted June 13, 2005 Ok, you guys should know, I must have misunderstood the guy. I know he said he sold one just like this in 1963. I thought it was a 1962-or 63. Amazing how each year was a little different! :) Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted June 13, 2005 More amazing to me is how little is shown here and yet the guys can still make out what vintage this is! Nice composition and abstract value. I only wish there's more separation between the white body and pavement which at first glance to me look like one single plane. It's been a while since you shoot with 20D, hasn't it? ^_^ Link to comment
db1664878771 0 Posted June 13, 2005 Almost as old as me, but not quite! I love old cars. Nice image. Especially for something that's a little out of your usual element. Link to comment
carnelli 0 Posted June 14, 2005 Great to see you sneak this one in Jayme, it all turns to gold.....cheers....Tye. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted June 15, 2005 Plus... I had a wonderful time speaking to the owners and getting their wonderful life history. What a joy! Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted June 15, 2005 As far as the use of the 20D. Here's my policy, I never, never use the Mark II outside. My insurance company gets a little upset at the thought :) And I must confess, so do I. I only use the 10 or 20D on my travels to the outside. The Mark II stays strictly in the studio. Sad but true. My choice, my policy. I want no dust or dirt on the sensor, plus I think the 20D does a better job with candid/artsy outside shots. I know the Mark II makes better studio flash images than the 20D, so I play it safe. 20D outside, Mark II inside. Easy! Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted June 15, 2005 I don't know Wilson, unless I burned in the background, how I would delineate the background more. If I get a chance I'll play a little more. Link to comment
