mplonsky 0 Posted June 12, 2005 It is a new setup (kind've long) and this is quite close to full frame. I had the edge of the camera braced on the concrete perch. Link to comment
allonkira 0 Posted June 12, 2005 Very well done, Mark!! I like the details, DOF and lighting. How you got such light with all these EX. tubes and TC? Link to comment
bentes_world 0 Posted June 12, 2005 You are doing the insects so well .... but every time I see them it comes to my mind that I'm very happy they are not bigger than they are (-;. Your macroes are special. Link to comment

walter_strong3 0 Posted June 15, 2005 The eye is sharp and at this magnification you won't get much else. Link to comment
hans imglueck 0 Posted June 22, 2005 Even the presented low res image gives the impression of softness also on the eye. This is not a proplem of low DOF since DOW is high enough. I think that has to do with the extension tubes and the used TC. Modern macro lenses having floating elements are not ment to use together with extention tubes - the optical performance will degrade heavily. TC makes it worse. Maybe an old bellows macro lens on a bellow would perform much better. Otherwise very good shot - especially the light ist very natural. Link to comment
birteragland 1 Posted July 17, 2005 GREAT SHOT,I WENT OUT AND GOT THE 20D AFTER SEEING YOUR MACROS,GOT THE TAMRON 180 LENS,HAVE ONLY TRIED THEM ONCE ON A MOTH,THESE EXTENSION TUBES YOU WERE USING ON THIS SHOT,DO YOU THINK THEY IMPROVED THE CAPABILITY OF GETTING CLOSER TO YOUR SUBJECT.IF I SOUND IGNORANT, ITS BECAUSE I AM ONLY A BEGINNER.
