leorossi 0 Posted June 16, 2005 I would have picked a more geometrical, levelled composition. I suppose you could do without the color and straighten the horizontal lines. Or, accentuate the tilting, but still in B&W. The way I see it, it might achieve a high degree of purity. Link to comment
grillot 0 Posted June 16, 2005 Leo - I will try that. I know how to straighten the horizontal, but not sure how to accentuate the tilting.. one may accomplish the other.. we shall see. Link to comment
leorossi 0 Posted June 18, 2005 Hi Neal. Looks ok to me, although I would keep the original crop at the top. Alternative: I would try for a more abstract/geometrical result by cropping at the intersection of the diagonals (the towers sides) with the framing. My second suggestion about accentuating the tilting was meaning simply to rotate image clockwise a bit further than it is now. The reason was that it looks impossible to have both the top and the floor lines leveled at the same time. This kind of linear, minimalistic image is really one of the most difficult and rewarding type to compose. Link to comment
leorossi 0 Posted June 18, 2005 This is what I meant by abstract/geometrical about this image. I generally never modify other people's work not even as an example, so please should you want me to, tell me so and I will delete the entry. Link to comment
leorossi 0 Posted June 19, 2005 This other example is what I meant by 'accentuating the tilting'. Please bear with my English as it's not my mother tongue! Sorry for the bad desaturation. Link to comment
