sondra kick 0 Posted June 11, 2005 This Steam Engine was in the B&O Museum in Baltimore, Maryland. All comments are appreciated. Cheers, Sondra Link to comment
smhickel 0 Posted June 11, 2005 Sometime the photo is right in front of you and we don't see it. Here you have captured that elemental photo of finding beauty in a larger scale setting that in itself would also have been wonderful as well. Good job! Steve Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted June 12, 2005 The composition and colour are both very good. I tried cropping the top down to a double square format but yours ncludes more of the spokes which is fun. Link to comment

WJT 627 Posted June 14, 2005 Hi Sondra! Agree with Terry, very pleasing geometric subject. I like the radiating spokes. Very nice color and exposure. I wish the lower left axle hub was not truncated by the frame, but it does duplicate the flat top of the white armature, which is cool. A good photograph. Regards. Link to comment

stupski 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Speaking of right in front of you, I worked at the B&O and never got one quite like this! VERY nice shot! Link to comment
randy_bray 0 Posted May 31, 2006 Hi Sondra, As a lifelong railroad fan I really like this photo. It's sort of a statement on the state of Steam power. Still, and rusting in place. The dieselization of America in the 50's rapidly caused the retirement of the bulk of steam locomotives. Maybe 1% of those remaining are still functional. I'd also like to say that in looking through your Portfolios you never cease to delight me in your compositions. I have learned a lot from studying your images. This is the beauty of PNET. I just got a Canon 5D and a couple of lenses, so I'm off and running. Thanks for always being an inspiration to me. Randy Bray Link to comment
