Red Study #3

WJT

Pentax SMC 300mm f4 with Pentax 1.4x extender. Exposure was 1/2 second at f45. Lee 3 stop hard grad filter. Gitzo 1325/Acratech ball head. Adjusted in Ektaspace using Photoshop CS. I think this looks best in LARGER VIEW, if you have the time.

I would be particular interested to know if the trees are a

disturbance, or are they a needed element. Thank you.

Its a beautiful photo and the trees are an essential element of it. I think you should keep them in it. Without them the image would be greatly diminished. Nice work by the way. The color is stunning.

The trees are a nice foreground element, and I agree that this image would be less without them. Beautiful shot!

The larger view definitely brings the beauty...Walter ...this is a great image...very saturates colors, the trees add to the image..is this a crop ? 7/7

Hi Rajeev...thanks. Yes indeed, this is a crop. I took a little off the bottom but a great deal off of the top; perhaps 30 percent or so. I shot this vertically, and when I decided to do a horizontal composition, I ran out of film! Regards.
