markonestudios 4 Posted June 27, 2005 I liked the way the branches on the sides of the photo provided a natural frame to the landscape in the background. What do you think of it? Link to comment
ppotocek 0 Posted June 27, 2005 I like this view. We have the same eye, but different country :-) You can check http://members.chello.nl/p.potocek/Photos/Locations/Cechy/03.htm Link to comment
markonestudios 4 Posted June 28, 2005 Hi Pavel! I am truly honoured by your comments. I've seen your work...very nice! Thanks a lot for looking at mine. I'm very much a novice/beginner, so it's really encouraging to get comments from seasoned photographers like yourself :) Link to comment
mondiani 0 Posted July 5, 2005 Hello Mark You have a nicely done landscape here: composition is good the frame within the frame also. But doing so you have a dark foreground. Maybe you have more details in the foreground with your original file? Or try to get more with photoshop? Here is an example I have exagerated it so you can see what I want to show you. Brightening the ground and leafs and darkening clouds and the sky. Link to comment
markonestudios 4 Posted July 6, 2005 Hi! Thanks for your comments. I think I do actually have more detail, I tried to darken the foreground perhaps a little too much to draw more attention to the landscape in the background. But I'll definitely try out what you suggest. Thanks a lot. I appreciate your taking the time to look :) Link to comment

blackdogstudio 0 Posted October 11, 2005 Nice framing. Leads the viewer nicely to the house and the background. I like that the house is off to one side, thus not intruding on the background. Congrats, Kelvin. Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted October 20, 2005 The dark foreground is excellent for balance of light and dark. Pity the sun didnt strike more of the house, especially the white window frames, then to be contrasted against the dark wood? Thatit would have been much more dramatic. Maybe at another hour?? Now the main subject is the well-framed hill and country-side. If one blanks off the rather gloomy half-house, the remaining material becomes more strict in composition. Link to comment
