Fantastic! The reflections in the trumpet and the eyes do it for me! I've been waiting and waiting for a classic Howard and know I have one once again!

Very nice photo. The framing is really good and I like the reflections . I think it would be even better with a little bit more dark tone. Anyway, very good shot! Saludos

Signature Howard D iamge. Nice composition and tonality. Only nitpick would be keeping separation between his shoulder and left arm (in white shirt) from the white background (they blend into each other as of now.) Still, a solid candid.

Howard- This is a wonderful capture and composition, nice subjective choice. My only nitpit is his upper hand, above the trombone rail, it lacks detail. I'd take the original and paste it into a layer, then add a mask, fill with black and paint with white to return the original detail. But of course that's just me. He has a wonderful expression!

I agree with Jayme's and Wilson's comments. I love the detail in the trombone and his expression. I'm also partial to musical images.

Oh FUN!!! I'm so sorry that I missed this image when it was new. You KNOW how I love pictures with musical instruments! This one is fabulous! His expression is classic ... totally focused and concentrating. The trombone makes a good photographic subject with its strong lines and simple bell. But, have you tried shooting the French horn? ;-)
