Confederate 5th Alabama Infantry

I am intending to replicate tonalities used in these Civil War images that may approximate the same tonalities shown in Civil War era photographs. Because of the Blue sensitivity of glass plate emulsions, skies were usually totally blown out and show as stark White. Exposure times were lengthy usually creating a blur of the subject matter that could not maintain the several minute-long pose required for crystal clear definition.
