jim kerr 0 Posted June 7, 2005 Tony, Man this is unique and quite wonderful, even in a group of your works,it will stand out. I have always tried to attain this lighting, not been at the right place at the right time. Only a master with a special vision creates pieces like this.....Jim Link to comment

bens 0 Posted June 7, 2005 well, my first reaction is envy, so that tells you something! marvelous composition and tones, both unusual in the best sense for such a scene. only thing my eye sees is a little lightness around the houses (not below, but above, like in the right corner of the roof of the house on the left) that may or may not be intentional. it suggests photoshopping to me a little too much. otherwise really really well done. tony georgiadis 0 Posted June 7, 2005 Ben Thank you very much for the great comment there's nothing much really to envy about...you might have shot it too if you where around at that time on tha particular place. I usually don't Photoshop much my work I post process my shot to convert it from IR and if needed a little dodging and burning and a tone if need arises here is an example of the original shot as an attachment it was post processed last year but not more photoshoping that what I mentioned above and of course some sharpening and I do not crop much my pictures neither. Again thank you very much for your comment. PS And another thing too funny but sometimes I see my pictures on another computer lighter or darker that what I actually see on my monitor and that might sometime affect my judgement dodging or burning it on my monitor. bens 0 Posted June 8, 2005 hi -- i guarantee you i would not get this shot, give yourself some credit. as for monitor, yes, i go through the same thing. these days i bounce around between a couple of computers at home which are quite different. i usually end up comparing what i post to other things i've posted and to those things posted by others as a double check on my eyes. still imprecise. sure beats showing the pics to my dogs though! tony georgiadis 0 Posted June 8, 2005 Ben it would be great if we could all calibrate our monitors to a same system standard. Link to comment
dmozzherin 0 Posted June 9, 2005 Great IR! Looks real and unreal at the same time. The field in front of the houses makes me to beleive that the foreground is sort of two-dimentional, but the forest background breaks this illusion. I like the effect of this 2-3 dimentional picture in this shot. Link to comment
