Hi All,

I got up at 2am & drove over 100 miles (each way) in the hope of

getting this scene. It rained most of the way there, but the

weather turned in my favour just in time.

Hope you like it

The elements that strike me the most and that appeal to me is the combination of the light and the shadow. A true example of how early light is worth taking the trip. Scondly I like the symmetrically composition of the image. I think that despite against all the "rules" it works with the subject. Actually almost as if the bridge and castle were made for this image!

Blurring the water by deliberate long exposure time is a new trick for me so thx for that one! It works, it gives the image a calm mood.

Overall I can not think of any critique form the estetical point of view. From a technically point I cann not comment as my photografical knowledge is still too limited when it comes to "high leveL'photo-techniques.

Last comment that could be made is that he image has a high postcard/poster value. Some find this a negative comment I personally think it is a great comliment.

Job welldone!

Splendid picture!! All the efforts you took that morning to wake up and drive are paid with just this single shot!! Any other good shot that morning should be considered as bonus. :)

Great picture.

7/6.

Isnt this the same castle as the one in the old amiga game "Castles" or maybe "Defender of the Crown"? Anyone else see it? Great shot btw! :)
