The title I've given to this picture is not in accordance with the

reality. This castle which is dated from the 15the century and was

rebuild in the 17the century, is still be lived by the descendants of

the original owner. While I worked up the original shot I gave my

imagination free rein and saw a young and beautiful widow

who....well, it could be a novel.

But more important are the thoughts you have about my picture. I had

a struggle with the building. To me it looks tilt, but I can't put my

finger on it. I couldn't get it straight how often I've tried.

Perhaps it's the state of the building or the point of view, I really

don't know. I hope that there is somebody who can give me advice or

an explanation. Thank you very much, Ada:)

I like your imagined story behind the picture. Your nice photo supports it very well. I think you can correct a little bit the distorsion in perspective with Photoshop.

noce one! Maybe slight;ly dark but that enhances the mood, clouds seem a bit too yellow maybe then again personal tastes differ.

Overall nice one!

Ada, nice to see you posting again, and very nice composition. The light in the windows and the background light is doing the unreal atmospher.the only nit is the clouds?on the left side that looks a bit like a blob, and IMO has to be softened. The baroness story adds pepper to the image....

I like to say thanks to all of you for the kind words and advices. I'm very happy that the mood which I've tried to put in this image is visible and perceptible.

Ivan, in a few words you sum up what I have tried to carry out, that's great!:)

Paolo, I've tried over and over again to straighten the building in PS, but without any result. Nobody makes remarks about it till now, so I think it is only my obsession:) However, thanks for your advice.

Hi M.I. The image is dark, I realise that. I did that to heighten the mood. My screen is very bright, so I can imagine that this picture will come over too dark at other screens. The yellow, indeed that is a matter of taste. En over smaak valt niet te twisten, he?:) Thank you for your contribution.

Dear Amelie, nice to see you!:))) You know that I always like to hear your opinion and this time you really flatters me with your compliment.

Pnina, I should like to restore that blob, because I think you're right. But I don't know how to manage that without deleting the picture. I don't want to lose the great comments. I know that there must be a way to fix it, will you advice me?:)

I love the mystical mood here, Ada. The story, of course adds to it. I always like pictures with stories. Good placement of the house & the trees with the clouds & water in between.I like it very much.

Ada both of these 2 houses you present to us here are wonderful and so moody. The color of sky is really great and gives this sad mostalgic touch to the image. Congratulations to you!

Greetings from Greece.

Hi Cherlyn, it's great that you like the mood in my picture. I've noticed that you love pictures and stories and MUSIC. Things like that goes hand in hand I think, don't they? Cheers my dear Cherlyn, it was nice to have you here, Ada:)))

Well...yes Michael, you've given me such great comments and compliments that you've made me blush:) I've seen your magnificent work and I've read your thoughts and I'm really under the impression of your artistic talents and the way you carry them out. I appreciate the time you took to watch my portfolio, it's too much honeur for me, I think. But I like it, of course:)

Greetings from Holland to you Michael in Greece, Ada.

Superb tones and mood ! I like it a lot. May be the transition between the roof of this building and the sky in background is a little bit "harsh" (not sure about my english). Very nice light on the whole.

Groetjes, Ada:)

Ada, nice coloring and good composition. I like your imagination about the castle dweller. Opening up the shadow area to get more detail would be a huge improvement, in my opinion. Still, nice mood. ^_^

Hi Wilson, I always interested in your opinion. And I'm very happy that you like my attempt to make a moody composition. Maybe you are right with your suggestion. I'll try it out to see if it looks better then. Kind Regards Wilson, Ada:)))

Great tones and mood, Ada!

You can upload a modified version without losing your comments if you go "Options" and hit "Edit Image Info." The "Browse" box comes up and you can enter the newer version, and then "Submit."

Perspective correction in Photoshop will make the vertical lines parallel, but I don't find it to be in particular need of straightening.
