Afterburning MiG-17 at night

Would you crop more as a pan?

Is it to dark to work as an image? It was shot in twilight f4, 1/30

Iso 400 400mm f2.8+1.4x. The plane was traveling about 300mph.

I think "degree of difficulty" has to factor in on this one. An almost impossible shot given the very low light.You are to be commended....Jim

What a great response. I suspect you have a little too much free time, but I loved it.

It was cropped, about 20%, I was about 600 feet away. IS was off, Focus was man. I think. I agree the image was obviously possible, I think it could have been better. I might have increased the ISO to 600 or 800.
