F-86 "Sabre" and F-16 "Falcon" performing a heritage fly-by at Air

Fest 2005.

Any ideas on how I can improve this image?

Thank you very much for your kind words. It was my first time shooting with a prime lens and it was a handful to say the least.

Thank you for taking the time to view and comment on my photo. I checked the box "unmanipulated image" after reviewing the guidelines which state that "Sharpening tools are OK" and "Contrast adjustments and color balance adjustments may be made".

I am not, nor have ever misrepresented my work and after seeing your photos know that you are indeed a talented photographer who has a good eye for not only composition but a great command of his craft. So I hope you can understand that I am a little upset seeing that you would post such a bold comment before reviewing the standards.

Thank you very much. It was my first time shooting with a lens that long (not to mention heavy)... and let me tell you, finding the planes in the sky just to focus was a task in it's own right. So thank you again for you very kind comments.

No much you can improve here than actually sit on the wing of the Saber. :-)

Great stuff!

Superb image! It makes you appreciate the advance of the state-of-the-art in aviation in just a single lifetime.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my photo. I agree with you on the old vs. new... I think the photo would have been even better if they could have had a prop-aircraft such as a P-51 "Mustang" in the formation or maybe an F-22 "Raptor" showing even more advancement. Who knows... there is another air show this weekend???

Be careful what you suggest to Norman, because he might try it, just "to get the shot". BTW, this one "IS" pretty awesome. Phooey, press passes.........JH

Hey man, thanks for the words of encouragement. And... Yes, I would at least "try" almsot anything to get the right shot. In fact I am looking for fellow photographers to take a heli ride around NYC at night without the doors on. Any takers?
