jayme 0 Posted May 26, 2005 Image compression does nothing for this one. He has a crusty nose and a large drip on his chin. He is cutting his top teeth and drooling and biting constantly! He IS the perfect subject. He loves getting his picture taken and poses and smiles at command! 8 months old. My daughter says everytime he sees a camera anywhere, he starts posing! Nana has taught him well!:) He loves cameras! And what amazing blue eyes, again compression does nothing for the original! Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted May 26, 2005 Wow! A Norman Rockwell classic. Jayme, you should try it PS with watercolor filter. Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted May 27, 2005 Great shot! Technically perfect, wonderful composition with the blue chair in back. Great expression! What a cutie! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted May 28, 2005 That expression is priceless! I like the brightness of the background, but the child still has nice colors and tones. Good luck on your studio opening (June 1?)! Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted May 29, 2005 Vibrant colors, great skin tone, and I especially like the Gerber's baby hair look. ^_^ Link to comment
scott_j 0 Posted June 1, 2005 Jayme, the colors are crystal clear and the detail and focus are crisp. Your studio work is shining. - Scott Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted June 3, 2005 Definitely the better of the two pics. It looks like whatever put that shocked look on his face also made his hair stand up!! :-) Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 3, 2005 Jayme, Your enthusiasm for this shot is well founded. I can add no constructive critisism but I am interested in your lighting set up. Looks like a separately lit background (white seemless?) and, from the double catchlights in the eyes, my guess is a main and a fill. Care to elaborate? Well done. Best, LM. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted June 3, 2005 Len- You are are correct. 2 backlights on the white background, a main light (large soft box)on my left and a white bounce umbrella on my right. I love the white seamless, but I wanted some shadows (I hate it when they appear to be floating) So the umbrella light was way low. I also had a black reflector to his right, about 3.5 feet away, to improve the detail on his face. Babies with no wrinkles can really take this without looking weathered.:)Thanks for the comments. dilip_kumar_singha 0 Posted June 5, 2005 Excellent, no comment. But, why the name shocking? Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted June 6, 2005 Thanks Dilip, The reason for the name "shocking" is because of the surprised look on his face :) Link to comment
fotoslim 0 Posted June 28, 2005 That mark, too much light, color... it is joke... excellent work. A cordial greeting. Link to comment
