Portrait of a smile!

It is said a smile is seen in the eyes! Is it?

You and William are not the only ones that like this image, I like it a great deal. Don't beat mr over the head because of it but I think this one would be stronger in black and white. The only problem with my remark might be developing contrast in the area of the left shoulder. The concept is strong as is the execution.

Owen, Thanks for the comment. I am not surprised that you think this would work better in B&W. It is posted here for your comparison. You can be the judge if the contrast over the left shoulder works or not.

Although I like this in both color and B&W, I think the color version is better. In the color version, my attention is right on the smile, as intended. In the b&w version, my gaze is drawn to the shoulder as the smile is a bit lost in darker tone.(from the above posts I guess this was expected)

Also, the lip color, being similar to the color of her sweater just works for me.

I agree with your comment Laurie. I often look at photos I take in both colour and B&W. In this case I didn't.... well not until Owen mentioned it anyway.
