edbook 0 Posted May 23, 2005 I like it... the only thing that I think would improve this excellent image is to add an eye highlight to make it appear alive... When viewing an image of an animal, it seems that the presence of an eye highlight gives life to the subject.your wide black framing on the sides with black appears to be squeezing the subject. It doesn't bother me and I think it perhaps adds the the tone of the image both color and physical.Peace Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted May 30, 2005 To me, This is probably one of the most interesting bird composition, if not the most, on PN. It's so interesting, almost to the point of the Abstract! One usually looks at bird images at a glance. This one demands your attention for much more than that. The title is so appropriate and the eye has the expression to support that. The only suggestion that I have to play with the levels a bit and get some highlights in the eye. I couldn't resist ad I very quickly did something. If you think this is the way you may want to go, I'm sure you can do a better job of it. Link to comment
pavel_tyle 0 Posted May 30, 2005 Cyrus: thanks for your suggestion and adjustment, it looks well and the eye is better, but the photo seems to me a little more contrast and color - I prefer pastel shade Link to comment
leo burkey 0 Posted October 11, 2009 These images are so outstanding in so many ways. Not only are they finely detailed but exposure, processing and pure aesthetic portrait qualities are just outstanding. So very well done! Sear genius! Link to comment
