A twilight shot of Labrador Pier on a beautiful evening. Even with a

14mm lens I have to stitch 4 images together for this shot.

A challenging endeavour, but compromised horizon (smudges evident) at extremes, presumably because of lens distortion.

Hi Gul, it's not easy to use 4, 14mm vertical images to stitch together. The warp effect will surely mess up the horizon not to mention proper alignment in transformation of images. I do my best and sadly miss my CRT monitor.

My working on a Laptop doesn't do it justice and I'll probably check it tomorrow to see if I can salvage it. Always appreciate your critical eye. Thanks.

Alec, this is a good photo.

It looked like somewhere in Southern California were I used to go with a friend to fish. You can see lost of fish on the water.

By the way, not all artistic photos on a high

definition format. If you could only see those photos presented by the well-renouned Photographer's lecture series at the International Photographers convention, you could say, mine was better than that!It was not only me who had that comment but from someone too who

paints. That's my comments to Gul,which he is entitled to the critique he made, that I admit.

Kind regards,sally

Yes, the smudges are evident but the shot is wonderful. I lov the colors and the pier. Lovely shot my friend. IS it me or do I see an ever so slight angle on the horizon? Probably me.

No Joe you're right, there is a slight curvature on the horizon. Not surprising really if you attempt a stitching job with 4 wide-angle 14mm shots. I may be too adventurous but that's what it's like to take a challenge. Isn't it? You learn as you try. I'm sure the horizon can be straighten with PS if I take more time.

I was only about 10 feet from the person at the lamp-post and the clouds were just overhead of me. I managed to get it all in and for me - that's already an achievement. Thanks for coming by Joe.

Nice nice! beautiful colors. was a difficult place to take this panorama, in my opinion, that too without a tripod after sunset!

Oh yes, the shot is lovely no doubt. I only mentioned the horizon because it seemed that it was a straight horizon but just tilted down to the left. This would be a relativly easy fix. Just my thoughts. It's no biggy as the image overall is quite nice.

Thanks Joe, I know you mean well. I'll fix it probably next week. Appreciate your coming back.
