yongbo 0 Posted May 22, 2005 There was no PS effect, converted from RAW, some adjustment during the conversion. The shot was before the storm. At the time I took the picture, the storm was far away (dark area), 10 minutes later, it was right above me and I forgot my umbrella. Link to comment

yongbo 0 Posted May 22, 2005 I agree. Should remove the UV, maybe the C-PL too. The sky and foreground was more than 3 stops difference, I stacked all 3 Grad Gray together and used the holder which can cause the problem (the wide angle slim holder can only hold 1). The clouds were moving extremely fast, need more experience to handle that. BTW, I fixed the corner in PS. Thank you for the suggestion. Link to comment

lukest 0 Posted May 24, 2005 I like it. One thing good artists do for us is show us something we may not see otherwise, or encourage us to move beyond a standard way of seeing. Take all the filters off of this shot and you'll have a nicely composed and "natural" picture but will likely miss out on some life that the photographer saw and captured for us. I think it works very well without wreaking of the gaudiness that cause many poorly conceived digital manipulations to suffer. Link to comment
