joan_brown 0 Posted May 22, 2005 There's a beautiful light on the model and an original contrast between the shattered inside and the youth-beauty of the model. Link to comment
within 0 Posted May 22, 2005 Paula, Beautiful movment and texture in this art work and the light and shade give feeling. well done it's good to see fresh works! Link to comment
atkphotoworks 0 Posted May 22, 2005 Paula, this is interesting, what are the surroundings here? The light nicely emphasises the hand although (at least on the monitor I am looking at now) her face is in the shadows. I would have liked it a bit more illuminated. All around a nice shot worth waiting for from you. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 22, 2005 Paula, interesting composition and light, I echo Amar about her face,a bit of her eye I think will add to it. I would as well croped the lower forground to connect her body to the frame. I like the upper light that are coming from a window source. Pnina Link to comment

mbalzan 0 Posted May 23, 2005 This is great, Paula. I don`t think the face needs to be more visible as it is here. As it is the image is somewhat mysterious and the shading, contrast and lighting is incredible Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted May 24, 2005 Alix, Jay, Joan, Pulok, Richard, Amar, Pnina,Biliana, Mario, thanks a lot for your comments. Amar, Pnina, yes the face is mostly in shadow but I did it on purpose do that the expression was suggested rather than shown. As to the crop, Pnina, I have tried several, not fully happy with any, so I chose this. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted May 26, 2005 I quite like the dark and mysterious atmosphere and the shaded face and eye goes with that. I am not sure about the title 'collapsing' though as there is (to me) a hint of a smile and the surrounding shapes do not feel perhaps as threatening or scary as the title suggests. Just my impressions - looks more dreamlike to me. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted May 30, 2005 Anatolji, Colin, thank you. Colin, the original title was: I won't collapse-- and there is, in fact, half a smile to stress it. A.K. Thank you so much. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 27, 2005 I'm a big fan of sepia tonings and here ... WOW ! It works perfectly ! There's something soft and attractive in her pose, strange and mysterious in the whole composition, I LOVE it ! Excellent light also, a great shot Paula ! Link to comment

delp 0 Posted December 8, 2005 This is a poem, a fine ode to feminity you drew here. I am delighted with what I see, both the mystery and the smile, both darkness and the light. Link to comment
