atkphotoworks 0 Posted May 22, 2005 The guy in the middle looks the most interesting here. Although these guys are all spread out, the shot reminds me of Henri Cartier-Bressons' famous photo of the refugees running helter skelter in the Kurukshetra refugee camp. In that shot HCB referred to it as them getting exercise to break the tedium. Obviously here, it's not the same context. Nevertheless the bodies scuryying around in different directions makes for an interesting scene. I would even suggest a closer crop with the fellow in white forming the left hand side of the image and the barechested fellow to the right. Link to comment
adam paine 0 Posted May 22, 2005 Excellent capture! Definitly reminds me of a Henri Cartier Bresson image as well! I also agree that a cropping of the left would be good. Great work and thanks for the comment on the row team.AP Link to comment

matej_puklavec 0 Posted May 24, 2005 There's a whole story in this picture, you could almost guess the score.... For me the technical imperfections are beside the point of a picture like this one. Excellent! Link to comment
niranjn 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Very fascinating image. Dynamic and captures a lot of emotion and spirit. Excellent timing! The cropaholic in me wants to slice off the left half of the image. Link to comment
parvindabas 0 Posted February 24, 2006 thx niranjan.a left crop has been suggested before but i like the boys waitiing in the back and the buildings as it gives the picture perspective. Link to comment
k_basu 0 Posted April 19, 2006 Terrific composition and capture! I like the washed out background - goes for a rainy day and perfect ambience for some beach soccer! Just wish there were bigger puddles to capture some more reflections. And maybe you could leave out the tall building on the left. Your other beach photos are awesome, too! Link to comment
