buck forester 0 Posted May 20, 2005 I took this shot on the last morning of a 3-day kayaking trip on Mono Lake in mid-February. The previous mornings were too stormy or foggy to allow for such a nice view of the rising sun, so it was great to feel the warmth of the first rays after a fuh-reeezing night in my tent. I was enjoying the various colors of the morning and had my camera on my tripod looking east, not knowing exactly where the sun would pop up. And then there she was in full glory, without having to move my tripod, the sun rose directly between two tufa towers right in front of me. I love this place. Link to comment
joemoree 0 Posted May 20, 2005 This is a very nice shot,and from what you said I think fate was on your side.Exposure looks great to me,nice reflections in water,snow looks good,and composition is excellent.congrats!I am somewhat curious as to what the sky was before this scene...more colors? buck forester 0 Posted May 20, 2005 Gracias for the comments! If the photo looks blurred it's due to the rotation of the earth because I took this on a tripod! :^D Maybe it's due to compression... view at large size and it should be unblurred, I hope! Link to comment
