Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted May 19, 2005 This was almost a monochrome anyway (my partner was wearing all black) so I converted it to black and white. I enjoyed the play of shadows as the wind blew clouds over and around us all day (precluding a summit attempt). Link to comment
mcgarity 0 Posted May 19, 2005 This is about as simple as it gets. I mean that in a good way. A minimalist approach such as this can be appealing. Very nice. Link to comment
andrew_bridges 0 Posted May 19, 2005 Wonderful use of shadows. I like the tones in the snow and think this works well in monochrome. While I also like the air of mystery that you get by leaving the mountain in the far distance so heavily obscured, I think the top third of the picture could benefit from greater contrast. Were it not for the caption, I never would have identified the background as Mt. Shasta. Link to comment
benjamin.l 0 Posted August 5, 2005 Great shot. The light and the greys are subtil and beautiful. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted November 16, 2005 There is everything, here: the physical effort, the overwhelming profile of the mountain, the unique lights and shadows of the high altitude, the relative solitude of these places. It is a very evocative shot: the proof one has to get the camera out also when it is foggy. Link to comment
longbachnguyen 0 Posted December 17, 2005 Jim, I like the different lights on the snow the mountain just visible in the background. This is the view I don't often see...for me only down. Thanks for sharing. Long Link to comment
