bentes_world 0 Posted May 18, 2005 They are unknown to me too and I have to admit that I know of many birds looking more pretty than this pair. I like their expressions however .... some interacting going on there. PS... I wonder how the 'longhaired' would look with a cigareth in the beak? Link to comment
mcgarity 0 Posted May 18, 2005 I don't know what they are either. The red facial coloring would lead me to believe they were vultures of some kind but the beaks don't seem right for that to be the case. Even though they don't possess the most beautiful countenances I have seen, its an extremely nice photo. As already mentioned the interaction going on makes it a great capture. Good work. 6/6 Link to comment
j_doyle 0 Posted May 19, 2005 Elvis believed in reincarnation but never expected to come back as a duck. I'm not a birder, so am just speculating that these might be Muscovy ducks. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can help. In any case, perhaps this is where the phrase "odd duck" originated.http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/Ducks/Musc/BRKScobies.html Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted May 20, 2005 What a couple! Are they swimming around in the canal in front of your house???;))) If they pass by again, ask them the adress of his hairdresser, will you? I think Rob will look great and much more attractive with such a hairdo.Marvellous fun shot Wim, with beautiful colours. Link to comment
