pjmeade 12 Posted May 17, 2005 Show jumping at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. The background has had a little extra blur added. Ws it too much? Constructive critisism is most welcome. Link to comment
jmfitch 0 Posted May 17, 2005 A bit obvious on the background blur; I would've liked to see an unaltered image! It is especially apparent around the fence posts. Still, nicely captured! Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted May 18, 2005 Hello Nick and J. Michael, thanks for looking and adding your comments. Here is the shot as it came out of the camera. I expect the 70-200 f2.8 would have given a better background, but on the first day out with the 20D/70-200 f4 (50th birthday present to myself), I'm pretty pleased with the results. Best wishes. jmfitch 0 Posted May 18, 2005 Very nice, Peter. The f2.8s sure are nice, but the f4s are so damn economical! Best regards... Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted May 18, 2005 Peter, your sports photography is superb. You presses the shutter at the decisive moment here, and your shutter speed has captured the motion perfectly! The colours are appropriatly vibrant without being over-saturated, and the inclusion of the riders face allows us to identify with his exhilaration in making this jump. The shot reminds me of your Lords foulder, and makes me believe that you are as happy at the Horse Show as you are at the Cricket March! Fond regards, Nick. Link to comment
