A landscape to dream of.

The colour and light here give depth to the picture.

My Princess you castle has shrunk but I shrek well find you one :)

Not only a beautiful scene but an interesting and original composition, the left and right hills forming a symmetry of overlapping waves around the central axis of the building and far mountain. But because the hills show the gradation in tone with the nearer trees swooping towards us from the left to the right we have a strong feeling of physical and emotional depth.

 

The eye can follow the landscape like a snake from near to far, from small to huge, from cosy to bleak.
