A friend of mine likes this model and likes this photo. I am hoping

others will think the same. Feedback appreciated.

24 hours after posting it seems you and me are the only people that like this model and this picture..... apart from my friend that is.

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

The model and the image are wonderful. She is precious and the image is very well done, as is most of ypur work. I think that the placement of the model is excellent and the vertical of the white wall works well. This is one that you might try as a nude if the young lady is willing. Bravo on the tonal range as well. 6/6.

Owen, If the young lady had been willing, this would have been a nude. Alas, this is the best I can do. That is not to say I will not take a similar shot with a nude in the future.

Thanks for looking. I am glad you like it.

David, Although well executed technically, I'm struggling with this one a bit. Her slight smile and relaxed pose suggest one mood but she has what appears to be an angry stare. Perhaps you were giving her conflicting directions ;)

At first I thought this was the same model you once shot with the very long arms (I think it was the striped bikini shot).

Laurie, Quite honestly I do not see what you see in this picture. That said, you are very correct about the character of this girl. She is as you describe. (Volatile is a word that springs to mind.) I don't think it had anything to do with my direction but it may have been.

I can confirm that this is not the girl with the long arms and bikini.

David, since you know her, I'm sure you're able to "read" her expressions better. I'll try to explain in more detail what I was seeing. It's subtle but did strike me. As a female, I'm probably focusing more on her eyes than the men that stop by here. She has a stunning figure that I'm sure, especially for your male viewers, garners more attention :).

If you scroll up to cover her eyes, her smile is very gentle and seductive. The curve of her relaxed posture suggest she's happy/content. Now, if you cover everything below her eyes, and just focus on her gaze, she seems to be staring intently (perhaps not angry but very focused). Taken as a whole, I couldn't quite tell if she's saying "come hither" or "back off". In other words, is she saying "yes" or "no"?

Of course, having studied this further to try and explain my initial reaction, I'm appreciating the dichotomy. Women really can be confusing, can't we?

Laurie, You are a brick. People say that about me but I think the spelling is a little different.

Strange as it may seem, I do not know this girl. I met her briefly in a restaurant and a few months later I had the chance to photograph her. We have only met on those two occasions. Trust me when I say your initial comment is very..... well... it is very..... OK? (I don't mean your comment is very OK but it is that too. Men can be confusing too sometimes.... but I am just a boy so I have an excuse!)

As for your comment that women 'can be confusing....' I haven't noticed. You believe me don't you?

David....I'm not familiar with the meaning of "brick" in this context. I hope it's good. If not, don't tell me.

I was not suggesting you looked like a brick. I am sure that you know that.

My reference was to something solid that can be relied upon and helps me 'build' as a photographer. You always help me to do this and so you are brick.

Simple really!

My first impression was a sense of open, wide-eyed innocence in her glance, which makes the teasing aspect all the more interesting somehow.

David, I just came from John Peri's playful tease. They capture two different attitudes somehow.

I think.
