Well, I continue to enjoy my new 200mm Micro-Nikkor. This isn't your

traditional use of a macro lens, but the close focus capabilities and

sharpness make it perfect for the birds I shoot. I love the pose this

Jay gave me, and was fortunate with the cloud cover as well because

only seconds later this was all about blown highlights. Thoughts and

criticisms are appreciated...

Your new lens takes very good Pictures C.G. I am not so sure I like the birds pose but I think the picture looks good. Good thing you had the Cloud cover like you said the colours look really nice Take care.

Different strokes for different folks... What I like about this pose is that it's unique while still showing the bird's distinctive markings. I've shot so many birds now it was nice to have something "different".

 

I do appreciate your feedback though... Perhaps the pose is only good to me, and that's valuable to know.
