pjmeade 12 Posted May 11, 2005 I thought this statue was wonderful. I have had to crop out nearby work. Constructive critisism is most welcome. Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted May 11, 2005 Hello Pete. I agree about the statue (who is it by?), and it is a real shame about the crop, especially that of Pan's hoof!. However for me, this sort of image just cries out for B&W! I also did some dodging and burning on the areas of more extreme light and dark. I'm glad that you appear to have opted for the ambient light of the museum, despite its disadvantages, but more light on the female figure's face would have been a boon! Predictable I know, but I'd love to know what you think? Fond regards, Nick. Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted May 11, 2005 Nick, I had given the BW option very serious consideration, and had planned to post a version. But you stole my thunder!. I't an excellent version you have produced. Cheers. Pete Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted May 11, 2005 Sorry Peter, would you like me to delete the above? - Nick. Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted May 11, 2005 No! Firstly, your opinion is valuable and will inform others, as well as me, of these options.Secondly, what I produce may well be different, even to the extent of being a different shot, to your interpretation. Also, that was a bit tounge in cheek ;-) P Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted May 11, 2005 Peter, passion carved in stone - the epitome of frustration! Good tonal quality to the shot. Link to comment
