davidmccracken 2 Posted May 10, 2005 This is one of these shots I like myself and am curious to know if anyone else likes it. Feedback appreciated. Link to comment
scootafranklin 0 Posted May 10, 2005 I would like to see the "orb" just ever so slightly sharper to cut through the beautiful backround. Still nice though. Link to comment
jeremy freeland 0 Posted May 10, 2005 Light, colour and form - what could be simpler? And it's barely representational, which makes its appeal nicely thought-provoking. It's also a very well balanced composition, with all the key elements in all the right places. I don't have any problem with the sharpnesss of the orb, and wouldn't want to see it any more defined. Best, Jeremy. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted May 11, 2005 Stephanie, Thanks. I thought so. Scoota, Scoota, I think the point you raise is down to a matter of taste and / or personal choice. I respect that. Personally I like it the way it is. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Jeremy, What a good comment. Where do I send the money? Actually, I really like this picture myself for all the reasons you mention. It is good to know someone else feels the same about it. Thanks everyone. Link to comment

nick_de_haan 0 Posted May 13, 2005 Nice and simple, I like it. I would have prefered just a touch more empty space between the frame and the top of the building, but thats all that I've got to "critique." Great shot. -Nick Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted May 14, 2005 Your point is noted. Perhaps you are right. If I get the chance to reshoot this I will take your advice and see what it looks like. Thanks for taking the time. It is appreciated. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 15, 2005 David, Your instincts were right to be pleased with this image. All the elements work well together to present a compelling abstract. Although I wouldn't change this one, I might have also shot some alternative compositions (which you probably did). My only critical comment is on the frame/border. Because the bottom of the image merges with the border, at first glance the dark space at the bottom appears a bit heavy. I wonder if a thin lighter line between the image and the frame (like the beveled edge of a mat)might work a little better Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted May 15, 2005 Kind words Laurie. I did take a few different compositions but honestly not too much different to this. This was the best of the bunch. I am glad you like it. Your point about the frame is correct. I probably should change it but I don't think I will. Thanks Laurie, your comments are always welcome. Link to comment
angel_pena 0 Posted August 3, 2005 How did I missed this wonderful image...? well, here's why I understand the "alternative part of your porfolio".. I strongly believe that you are a master with a unique sense of humor. Link to comment
