pjmeade 12 Posted May 10, 2005 I was interested by the juxtaposition of the gallery staff sitting in bright sunlight and the portrait sitting in shadows. It has been difficult to get any kind of detail in the persons face. Observations and constructive criticism are most welcome. Link to comment
derekwin 0 Posted May 10, 2005 I like the composition here but the light on the woman's face is a little blown out. Great idea though Link to comment
johncrosley 0 Posted December 22, 2005 The sidelighting on this photo is lovely (whether someone feels it is 'blown' or not. Also, interesting juxtaposition. It's the kind of photo I'd be tempted to take . . . . the lighting blends very well with the subject. Best wishes. John (Crosley) Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted December 22, 2005 Hello John, I tried to recover more detail, but it was far too blown. That weekend in Paris was when I realised I was asking more of my old 6900z than it had to give. Within a couple of days, I had ordered my 20D. To be honest, I don't know if the 20D would have done any better. The Louvre was wonderful, just the place to play with a camera. Very best wishes for Christmas and the New Year. Pete Link to comment
