Hi there - please let me know what your thoughts are. this was from

a friends performance outside a restaurant. Should I get rid of the

black on the left and just leave a smidgen of the girls face and hat

on the left? Thanks!

This is lovely, and has lots of potential. I do think it is definately improved for cropping in the way you say; and I would also see if you can get some more detail out of the arm in the foreground (burning & dodging in PS - which I don't know much about, but plenty of others on PN do). Or perhaps that would take focus away from the face? Just some thoughts, but it has a lovely feel.
