oswegophoto 1 Posted May 8, 2005 The sun was directly behind the upper stone and appears to be the cause of the blue flare. Another shot doesn't show it, but I found I preferred this one. Link to comment
r 0 Posted May 20, 2005 Don, An interesting (g/f)lare. Especially since the sun is not actually inframe (visibly i.e.)Must be that although the sunlight is not directly reaching the negative, it is entering the barrel and illuminating one or more of the elements - must be a blue coating or somesuchthing. Anyway...The most interesting bit in this photo for me - possibly an idea worth further exploration - is at the bottom right where the foreground sharp and background blur are juxtaposed (did I use that word right? it's my first time!) - strangely beautiful is'ts glow. oswegophoto 1 Posted May 20, 2005 Thanks for looking. Yeah, the bottom right is certainly my favorite quadrant of this; I'm intrigued by how the flare appears to illuminate. I don't know how any direct sunlight reached the lens, but, with the pentaprism removed, the finder image is pretty small, so ... maybe just one o' those mysteries o' life? ;-) Link to comment
