I'm on the fence about this photo. I submitted one earlier where the hand was in color and there was some blanket showing around the colored hand. Then, another one with all B&W and then got rid of the blanket texture and replaced it with just a straight shadow. This is the last one I will post (promise). This one has the hand back in color, but I did away with the blanket texture. I would be interested in your opinions as to which one you think works best. Thanks so much.

Original use of the framing. The background on the photo has a bit too much detail and asks some attention.

Todd- This very original. Not only for your selective color use but the wide angle view choice. They grow up so fast! The inclusion of the color seems to signify the growth. I like it very much. This from someone who normally doesn't like the use of selective color in a B&W image. I don't find the background detail distracting, in fact I think it adds to the interest.

Blanket was bit rough and noticable, this one too clean and the shadow to too cold. Do what I do when you cant decide, merge both together. have blanket less noticable. :0)

I love this one: simple, meaningful, original, funny, tender and well elaborated. The touch of class? frame use. Excellent.
