Living on the waters

alecee

Crop to size. This is not a composite image. Deleted some shrubs and boat on the left and foreground of the image otherwise unretouched.

Great blues, Alec. Is this a composition? Like the clouds. My only pick is the shadows are tad dark. Really like the low angle.

Thanks Kumar, Paula, Amar. Dennis the clouds are not a composite, only took off some shrubs on the left. This is an image from way back when I was in Cambodia. Really missed the place and intend to get back there again.

Nice composite, Alec. Although the puffy clouds at left is unusually low, it is one of the main key why this image works. The matching reflection in the water is a nice touch, too. ^_^

Eh.....Wilson, actually the clouds are real. I mistakenly mentioned to Dennis that it was a composite. I actually meant composed years back. I can show you the original. I only omitted some plants and shrubs on the left to show the horizon.

Patrick, sometimes you never know what gems you can find in your old files if you look hard enough.

Chips, Cherlyn, thanks for visiting and your cool rendition Bahri.

Yeah Wilson, check out some other similar shots in my Cambodia folder and you'll see that it was a good day when I was there touring Tonle Sap River. ^_^

I remember the Tonle Sap, and this captured well the atmosphere of the floating village. Aesthetically, I like the red colors of the door contrasting with the dominant blue casts, and the slightly incongruous details of the antennas towering on the floating houses.
