michaelchristensen 0 Posted May 3, 2005 A wonderfully compelling photograph, but the hands are out of focus .. the depth of field a little too shallow, although I like what it did to the background, I think you should have the hands in focus or select a different composition. But I really like this composition so I would have sacrificed the background and gone with a more generous depth of field. A very good photograph that could have been made better. I do notice a bit of image fragmentation in some of the strands of hair as well as the makeup under the eyes ... these of course are minor issues which you can correct digitally. Link to comment
dpurfectlight 0 Posted May 3, 2005 I just want to see how the lens perform at its widest aperture. This is actually f1.8. I have to be more careful where to focus for this wide 1.8 aperture since DOF zone is small. I think for this lens f2 to f2.5, DOF zone is bigger and everything should be in focus with a nice bokeh for the background. Thanks Michael. Link to comment
raddatzphoto 0 Posted May 3, 2005 Love the unorthodox portrait in shadow. It's different, natural, and very appealing. Link to comment
dpurfectlight 0 Posted May 4, 2005 Michael, you have a very nice portrait collection there. It's very pleasing and artistic the way you layout the lighting and shadows in your pictures. And the Leica lens rocks. Many thanks for critique. Link to comment
